Built on a social enterprise model, Fairthorne Manor YMCA has a strong ethos for providing equal opportunities for all, with all income generated going directly back into funding local community projects and initiatives, such as nurseries, school holiday activities and housing to vulnerable 16-25 year-olds.
YMCA Fairthorne Group is a local community charity, that delivers an array of services to over 40,000 children, young people and families across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, making a positive impact on their lives and magical childhood memories.
The site has over 95 acres of camping fields and adjoining woodland, right next to the river Hamble, with its own private jetty onto the river. The local village of Botley is minutes away and it’s within easy reach of Portsmouth, Southampton and Winchester. There are acres of space to camp, roam, walk, play and relax. There are footpaths into the woods and adjoining fields, you can swim, kayak or paddle board right from the grounds and there are plenty of other activities as well as beautiful areas to relax and enjoy your surroundings.
The site is well equipped with indoor and outdoor facilities, professional catering kitchen, modern accommodation and dining hall, plenty of toilets and showers with plenty of hot water to service everyone on site and includes accessible facilities.
The site is fully staffed and has an onsite cafe in case you need a caffeine or cake boost in-between classes.
